The Ohio Cooperative Workers’ Council

The Ohio Cooperative Workers’ Council is the volunteer Board of Directors of The Ohio Cooperative. The Workers’ Council is made up of worker-owners from around the state, one (1) council member per county. Council members oversee the overall strategy of the cooperative and are elected for a four (4) year staggered nonconsecutive term. The roles of council members include:

  • To assure the cooperative follows its’ mission
  • To employ and evaluate the Executive Director
  • To advise the Executive Director on broad matters
  • To review cooperative policies and strategies
  • To approve and monitor cooperative research
  • To ensure sustainable growth of the cooperative
  • To hold and supervise cooperative elections

Any worker-owner who owns at least one (1) cooperative share can vote in elections.
